This is a rare and collectable 1895 People's Edition of Lewis Carroll's classic work Alice Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There. Illustrated with the original tissue-guide frontispiece of 'Alice with the Knight' and 50 illustrations of the charming drawings by John Tenniel. Published by Macmillan and Co., London, 1895. The publisher's original green cloth illustrated in red and black, with Alice and Humpty Dumpty. Black lettering and red edges. Black title on spine and back and red Publisher's Monogram on the back. Book dimensions: 19 x 13 cm & Number of pages: 208 + 3 pages with Christmas greetings and Publisher's advertisements. Condition: The content is finished. Slight wear on the corners of the boards and on the head and tail of the darker spine, with a few faded marks on the cover. Internally; the book is in good condition. Nice inscription on the front blank endpaper. Light foxing and spotting on some pages. All illustrations are present and in good condition (please see pictures).
