Kunstner: Ikeno Taiga池大雅 (1723-1776), en berømt litterær maler og kalligraf fra Edo-perioden, er kendt som repræsentant for Nanga-malere sammen med Yusa Buson. Hans teknik kombinerer kinesisk blækmaleri med den traditionelle Rin-skole af japanske teknikker og kombinerer vestligt maleri for at skabe en unik personlig stil. Hans værker er en del af Nobelprisvinderen Kawabata Yasunaris livslange samling, og mange nationale museer i Japan har hans værker i deres samlinger. Indskriften i det øverste venstre hjørne af maleriet er skrevet af Miyazaki Inpo (1717-1775)宮崎筠圃,en mellemste Edo-konfuciansk lærd. Trækassens underskrift blev autentificeret og optaget af maleren Ishigawa Yurin 石河有隣 (1870-1952). Skafthoved mangler.
