Holmegaard (9)

Nine (9) Twist shot glass with internal twisting from Holmegaard, the glasses are 220 mm (20cm) High and 48 mm in diameter which can vary slightly in size as the glasses are handmade. The glass was originally produced at Aalborg Glasværk from the 1890s onwards. This version with the inner twisting of air bubbles is very rare to encounter today. The inner air bubbles are blown in with a wet wooden stick, after which the stem is turned around. One (1) glass has original sticker on it. Vintage Danish "Twist" Glasses by Holmegaard Glassworks, 1960s. The original design of these glasses with the twisted stem from Holmegaard can be traced back to late 19th century. This specific design is from 1959. These glasses are hand blown, every glass is unique. Beautiful craftsmanship and artistic skill. Designer: Jacob E.
