Romarriket Tetricus I (AD 271-274) Antoninianus from Cologne mint 273-274 HILARITAS AVGG (Ingen mindstepris)

This is a Roman Empire coin, an Antoninianus struck under Tetricus I, a usurper in Gaul, during the years 271-274 A.D. This coin weighs 2.38 grams and is 21 millimeters in diameter. It was produced at the Cologne mint and was struck in 273-274 AD. It is in very fine condition, with a beautiful old brown patina. The obverse features a radiant and laureate bust of Tetricus I to right with the inscription IMP TETRICVS P F AVG. The reverse bears the inscription HILARITAS AVGG; the goddess Hilaritas stands to left holding a palm branch in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left.
