Description: Watercolor and pencil on paper, mounted on cardboard. Signed Noormagi to the lower right. Huge sketch for the mural Eugeni Noormagi made for the Radiumstationen/ Institute for radiotherapy in Copenhagen in 1937. The radium station in Copenhagen was independent and part of the Niels Finsen's Institute. Established for light treatment of skin tuberculosis and other uses of radiation therapy. Eugeni Noormagi did the murals in bright pastel colors and used inspiration from chemical light rays used in radiation therapy as well as phototherapy, as a tribute to Danish physician Niels Ryberg Finsens discovery of light therapy for which he received the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
