Marshall JMP-1 Valve PreAmp

Used on both StudioAlbums & Tours by, among others ZZ-Top, Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Ministry, Filter, etc. Ch. 1 - Clean 1 = Marshall Super Lead (Plexi) Ch. 2 - Clean 2 = Marshall JTM (Crystal Clean) Ch. 3 - OD-1 = Marshall JMP (Master Volume) Ch. 4 - OD-2 = Hot-Wired Marshall JCM800 (Diode-Bridge) Ch. 4 - OD-2 on MAX gain, has enough drive to be able to do CHUGS, with an EMG81, without needing an OD pedal! - as long as the tuning is not below Drop-C! The JMP-1 ALWAYS remains tight, warm & smooth in tone, even with gain at MAX (20!) - in contrast to e.g. ADA-MP1, which at MAX gain, for comparison, sounds like "razor blade distortion", compared to a Marshall JMP-1 that NEVER gets harsh, no matter how hard you push it… That's why I chose the JMP-1 over the ADA-MP1 at the time.
