Billed Bladet 1954 - King Frederik in Admiral Uniform

This vintage issue of Billed Bladet, a Danish magazine, features a photo of King Frederik in his admiral uniform. The image was destined for the newly-restored English ship ‘Crown Prince Frederik,’ but it replaced a previous one destroyed in the fire in Harwich on April 19, 1953. Before being permanently placed on the ship, this photo was featured in the spring exhibition in Copenhagen. This is an excellent example of historical Danish media, showcasing the life and style of the monarchy in the 1950s.
