Besnard Paris - Gulvlampe på trefod - "De vestalske jomfruer" - Forgyldt messing

This is a rare and beautiful vintage floor lamp, originally from a spotlight projector. It is in the Industrial and Loft styles, and is entirely handcrafted by Art&Fact. This piece is a unique vintage lamp that was made in the 1910s for the French car industry. The projector has a diameter of approximately 130mm with the Besnard Paris logo visible above it. This particular model is referred to as ‘Vestal Virgins’ and refers to the protecting priestesses in ancient Rome. The safety and security of the city was ensured by the fire kept alight at the temple of Vesta in the Roman Forum. The lamp is mounted on a tripod similar to those used in old telescopes. The height of the lamp is adjustable from 35cm to 128cm. The lamp is fitted with new electricity to CE standards, with a 3 meter long black fabric-covered cable. It is fitted for an E27 bulb, with a LED bulb recommended but not included. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from the creator, along with an identification number. Each lamp is carefully wrapped and shipped worldwide.
