Vintage Sovjetisk Raketa Perpetual Kalender Ur

Selling a nice Soviet mechanical watch from the 80s with day/date display and "perpetual calendar" which goes from 1981 to 2000.

Quick date setting is done by pulling the crown past the time setting position.

Setting the day is done by running the hands back and forth over midnight.

Explanation of how the "perpetual calendar" works is in English below:

"The bottom crown rotates a display on the top and bottom of the dial, the top display being days of the week, and the bottom display being the current year. But really, it works with any year that is an equivalent year in the leap year cycle.

When you line up the current year with the column containing the abbreviation for the current month (on the bottom of the dial), this allows you to have the days of the week correctly aligned with the days of the month below on the top half of the dial (like reading a calendar).

In this way, you could divine that the 29th of June this year is a Saturday. Or, going backwards, you could line up the top of the dial knowing the day, date, and month to figure out which year in the leap year cycle you are at."
