Vaderlandsche Historie, vervattende de geschiedenissen der nu Vereenigde Nederlanden, Amsterdam, Isaac Tirion, 1770. 19 (af 21) bind, mangler bind. 9 og 10, med fortsættelse bind. 22, 23 og 24 og tillægsbind "byvoegsel", de fleste 2. oplag, undtagen bind. 3 og 4, som er 1. udg. 8vo, de fleste bind. (=1-2, 5-8, 11-21) i ensartet nutidig halvkalv, med hævede bind og forgyldte blomsterdekorationer (andre i (beskadiget) halvlæder, eller samtidige omslag). Ikke samlet, men nuværende bind. formodes komplet, med talrige stik. Ryggene noget slidte, nogle bind. let vandfarvet i øverste hjørner, ellers i god stand.

Jan Wagenaar Vaderlandsche Historie 19 Volumes 1770

This set of books contains 19 volumes of Jan Wagenaar's ''Vaderlandsche Historie'' (Dutch History), published in Amsterdam by Isaac Tirion in 1770. It is missing volumes 9 and 10, but includes continuation volumes 22, 23, 24, and the supplement volume ''byvoegsel''. Most volumes are the second edition, with volumes 3 and 4 as the first edition. Volumes 1-2, 5-8, 11-21 are bound uniformly in modern half calf with raised bands and gilt floral decorations. The remaining volumes have (damaged) half leather or contemporary covers. While the volumes are not all together, those present are thought to be complete. The set includes numerous engravings. The spines are slightly worn, some volumes have light water staining in the top corners, otherwise they are in good condition.
