Storm Book by Karen van Holst Pellekaan

This children's fiction book tells the story of 12-year-old Storm, the son of a printer. Storm's greatest wish is to follow in his father's footsteps but he soon discovers his father is secretly printing forbidden texts. This leads to Storm's father being arrested, and Storm finding himself on the run. The book is inspired by the film 'Storm', a period piece set in the Late Middle Ages by renowned Dutch director Dennis Bots, where we see how people fought for freedom and tolerance, just as we do today.
