A plique a jour dragonfly pendant from jewellery designer nicole barr. the embodiment of luxury this dragonfly pendant is fashioned from the finest 18ct yellow gold and embellished with sparkling diamonds. the blue wings are vitreous enamelled in the plique-a-jour style. plique a jour is a highly specialised enamelling technique and provides vibrant colour to many of the insect designs. working like a miniature version of stained-glass, powdered glass is placed in cells and heated. unlike cloisonné work the cells are open which allows the light to shine through the transparent or translucent enamel. only worn on a handful of occasions. original price £1650.00. dimensions: wings 32mm wide. 18inch long 18ct yellow gold chain hallmarked with makers initials. please let me know if you need any additional information.
