A beautiful decorative hanging plate by Lapin Paja in Finnish Lapland. This plate was designed and made by the Sámi people of Lapland, and it is supposed to resemble gold panning in the water. If you look in the sand, there is one gold nugget (not a real one, unfortunately), and the sand is shaped to resemble the technique of panning sand to discover gold.
The plate itself is made of bronze or brass, and it has been heated in the center to create a rainbow of colors that resembles water.
Quite unique and very beautiful artistic piece.
