With high demand and low supply, beautiful paleolithic bifaces are more and more scarce on the market.

This is the reason I had to reconsider very well if I want to part from some of the pieces from my collection, but here they are!!

This lovely piece is very well preserved with only minor chipping to the edge.

It has a magnificent ivory patina with iron oxide stains on one side and shades from white, through gray and BLUE on the other side. Not only is it beautiful, but it is also a proof of authenticity. BEWARE of many fakes appearing on the market nowadays!

Notice the pieces of cortex left on the back side of this biface - a mark of a skilled Neanderthal who utilised the flint nodule as best as he could - truly a skilled knapper!
