Arabia Finland - A. Alaristo plate - 1981 (V153) Scandinavian dishes from this ?Finnish Lappland? series are highly valued and much sought ? after collectors plate. Dimensions: Approximately 11,5cm across. Condition: excellent There is the artist's signature A. Alariesto on the backside. A. Alariesto wanted to describe the social change and the changes in the traditional way of life in Lapp culture. He wanted to contribute to the preservation of Sámi culture. Alariesto said that he - through his art - wanted to descibe a lost world, a world that had passed and vanish (acording to Alariesto-gallery).
