GDR Stamps 1961 - Buchenwald

Set of 6 original GDR stamps from 1961, commemorating the Buchenwald Memorial. The stamps are in good condition and stamped. They are part of a series of stamps commemorating the Buchenwald concentration camp, which was liberated on April 11, 1945. The set shows portraits of famous victims from the camp: Werner Kufé, Lothar Erdmann, Max Adrian, Erwin Schnell, Lammert Horn and Mathias Theresien. Each stamp shows a portrait of a person with a text describing them, and the name Buchenwald as well as the words FRIEDEN UND VOLKERFREUNDE (Peace and Friends of the Peoples).
