Extraordinary double portrait, featuring the face of Finnish impressionist painter, Ingrid Ruin (1881–1956) together with the eye of her teacher, Swedish impressionist painter, Anders Zorn ( 1860-1920). The oil was made at Anders Zorn's atelier in Mora, Sweden, during the period 1905-1911. Ingrid Ruin lived with Anders Zorn in Mora where she was both his student and personal assistant. Ruin executed several paintings by Anders Zorn’s side in this period and Zorn’s great influence can be seen in many of her works.
