Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500M acoustic guitar
Western, Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500M A rare, much sort-after round-shouldered dreadnought, the Masterbilt AJ series was amongst the best all solid wood guitars issued by Epiphone in recent times. This is the AJ-500M model, and is very close in design and sound to an AJ-45. The serial number looks to be from 2004, which fits with the deep mature tone you get from this guitar, built from premium selection of a solid Sitka top, with solid Mahogany back and sides. The 25,5” scale Mahogany neck is slim, robust and a joy to play, and the 20 fret fingerboard is made of Rosewood, with dot inlays. It has Body and Neck binding, and is fitted with a bone Saddle and (43mm) Nut. It also has the original Nickel open-gear Grover tuners, and a new upgraded LR Baggs (VTC) pickup. It has been well cared for, and stored in a humidity-controlled environment when not in use. It is currently fitted with Earthwood 11-52 strings, and is setup with low (2.25mm on the low E string) action at the 12th fret. This is an opportunity to buy a beautifully aged, classic acoustic model in very good condition. It represents a lot of solid body guitar for the price, and easily rivals more expensive models, in terms of build quality and tone. It is sold with the original Masterbilt branded poly-foam case, and a new Epiphone ‘AJ’ Hardcase. Total price, with both the original semi-soft, and hard case is 5.300kr or near offer. For SALE ONLY (no trades). Can been seen/tried in Kalundborg area (or possibly in Copenhagen by arrangement), can also be sent (boxed) at expense of buyer.
