Hiroshige II (født Suzuki Chinpei) arvede sit navn efter sin mester Hiroshiges død i 1858, hvis datter han giftede sig med. Hans værker er ofte blevet forvekslet med hans mesters værker, som de ligner meget i stil, emne og signatur. Øen Tsukudashima var kendt for sine fiskere og sit uhyggelige syn om natten, hvor ildkurvene, der blev brugt til fiskeri, lyste i mørket og lignede de dødes ånder, der kom til live igen.
