This vintage postcard features an Avro Biplane Type 504, a biplane largely used as a standard training machine by the Royal Air Force. It was also used successfully during the earlier part of the war (1914-1918). This particular model was lent by The Imperial War Museum. It is a historical artifact from the Science Museum in London.
