Rare satirical caricature of Henrik Ibsen. Signed and dated 1900. Dimensions: 6 ½ x 4 for drawing alone. 8 x 10 inches inclusive frame. Description: Ink and pencil on paper. (Paper is possibly from a sketchbook). Mounted on red cardboard. Signed and dated in pencil to the lower right: Henrik Ibsen. Januar. 1900. The work is inscribed in Norwegian with verses from the Ibsen poem: Bergmanden. The Miner. (First published in 1871) « Bergvegg, brist med drønn og brag for mitt tunge hammerslag!
