Japanese Noh mask in wood - Kotenjin小天神

Fremragende kvalitet japansk traditionel håndskåret Noh-maske i træ - Kotenjin小天神, fint udskåret med omhyggelige detaljer. kunstnernavnet Mærket Yōsan 陽参 blev skåret på bagsiden af masken. Tenjin-masker bruges ikke kun til Sugawara no Michizanes ånd, men også til rollen som himlens gud generelt. Øjnene vender normalt nedad, men denne maske vender fremad. Munden er skålformet med overlæben hvilende på den, og ørerne er stiliseret med enkle kurver. A traditional Japanese Noh mask hand-carved in wood, depicting Kotenjin小天神. The mask is finely carved with meticulous details and the artist's name, Yōsan 陽参, is carved on the back. Tenjin masks symbolize the spirit of Sugawara no Michizane, but can also represent the god of heaven in general. The eyes usually face downward, but this mask faces forward. The mouth is bowl-shaped with the upper lip resting on it, and the ears are stylized with simple curves. Dimensions: 21 x 14 x 8 cm.
