Barton Fink is a 1991 American black comedy film written, directed, and produced by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen. The film stars John Turturro, John Goodman, and Michael Lerner. It tells the story of a successful Broadway playwright who is hired to write a wrestling picture for a Hollywood studio but is haunted by a mysterious visitor. The film won the Palme d'Or at the 1991 Cannes Film Festival, and was nominated for three Academy Awards.
