Two rare books from the 19th century - Victor Champs bindings

Two rare works from the 19th century bound by Victor Champs (1844-1912) in magnificent identical bindings in red half morocco with corners decorated with an elegant decoration of stylized fillets and fleurons. "Eux etelles" (1860 by Poulet-Malassis) "Lescure's best and worst work", a very reactionary monarchist, who throws away three works that had been published in 1859: Elle et Lui by George Sand; He and she by Paul de Musset; He by Louise Colet. The volume had a success that Malassis had not hoped for. A month later he was able to publish a second edition (our copy is one of them) with a preface. Very discreet traces of moisture on the leather of "Eux etelles". Otherwise in very good condition. Completely uncut volumes. Covers preserved.
