This lot consists of six early Dutch Boekenweek gifts, issued by the association for the promotion of the interests of booksellers, namely: 1) Gift. Contributions by Dutch writers, gathered on the occasion of the Dutch Book Week, May 7-14, 1932. With contributions by M. J. Brusse, Anton Coolen, etc. Boards and back slightly worn, back with wear, overall a nice copy. 2) Gift 1933. Memories of Dutch writers gathered on the occasion of the Dutch Book Week April 29-May 6, 1933. With a comprehensive overview of memories of Dutch writers, with portraits in black and white. Back cover is missing, front cover almost loose. Bookstore label on the front, label on the inside of the front cover. The spine is incomplete and the front is dirty. Decent. 3) Around the Book 1935. Edited by Roel Houwink. With a collection of articles by among others Jan Poortenaar, Jef Last and N. van Hichtum. With pictures in black and white. Paper fairly rusty, stained boards, nice copy. 4) Around the Book 1936. Edited by Roel Houwink. With various articles and photos in black and white. Boards slightly stained, name in ink on the front, some signs of wear. A nice copy. 5) Three novellas, 1938. Cover a little loose on the spine, binding intact. 6) Three novellas, 1940.
