A timeless and elegant pearl necklace in 14 carat gold decorated with a small diamond. From around 1950-1970. The pearl has a diameter of around 7 mm. It is attached to a gold bow set with a small diamond (0,01 ct) in a four claw setting. The chain is original to the necklace and is around 45 cm long. Both the pendant and the chain are of 14 carat gold and both are stamped accordingly with “14k”. The pearl is authentic and the pendant is stamped “IPS”, which stands for Imperial Pearl Syndicate, a fine pearl firm established by Joseph Gladstone in 1917. The firm later merged with Banice Bazar and changed their name to simply “Imperial” in the 1970s. Today, Imperial is still of the leading pearl jewelers in the world. This necklace is made by the original firm, Imperial Pearl Syndicate, before the merge in 1970s. It is impeccable condition with no signs of wear.
