Bog med illustrationer udgivet i 1868 i London, der samler de mest berømte illustrationer af Gustave Doré i England. Denne bog blev udgivet før åbningen af Doré Gallery (1869), og viser den betydning, kunstneren tillægges på tværs af Kanalen. Stor bog hvor billederne måler op til 25 x 20 cm. Let blankt papir. Gylden skive. Meget frisk interiør i bogen. Lille mangler på sidste side. Indvendige retter dækket med periodereklamer. Billederne af Don Quixote (Sancho Panza og æslet) og La Fontaines fabler (Rådet holdt af rotter) vakte sensation. I London svælgede Doré i denne herlighed, ordrer strømmede ind, og i 1872 illustrerede han bogen London, a pilgrimage, af Blanchard Jerrold. Sjælden bog.
